The Voice UK competitor Jermain Jackman said he wanted to the first black prime minister in Britain, and Sir Tom Jones has dubbed him "the singing politician".
The 19-year-old is seen on the BBC One talent programme before he told Daily Politics presenter Jo Coburn - and journalists Fraser Nelson and Zoe Williams - about his political ambitions.
And the singer recalled how he told David Cameron he wanted the top political job for himself.
