David Cameron says Downing Street has handled the arrest of one of his aides in an "absolutely correct way".

Patrick Rock, 62, resigned as the deputy head of the policy unit on 12 February after being arrested on suspicion of an offence "relating to child abuse imagery".

Mr Cameron said: "I've been very clear that we must handle this in an absolutely correct way and I'm satisfied that's what number 10 Downing Street has done."
