Political appearances and what MPs look like

Politicians like to think it is their ideas that win over the voters, but polling shows style can matter more than substance to some voters.

David Thompson reports on whether appearances matter. and how a sharp suit and winning smile can count for more than views on the welfare state or the budget deficit.
