'Not wise' to bring Syrians to UK says Dr Halla Diyab

Britain may not be the best place for Syrian refugees according to Dr Halla Diyab, who said it would be much better for them to stay in nearby states that were also "culturally and demographically" closer.

In a personal film for BBC One's This Week, the UK-based Syrian filmmaker suggested Jordan, Saudi Arabia, Lebanon, Egypt and the UAE - and asked if her fellow British taxpayers would be expected to subsidise the expected refugees from her homeland,
