Elderly and lonely: Reaction to Jeremy Hunt claims

One million British people have been classed as chronically lonely, and the condition increases the risk of illnesses like dementia and heart problems.

Health Secretary Jeremy Hunt said loneliness, and the response to it, shamed the nation.

David Thompson reports from a care home on what the public and politicians can, and are, doing about this.
