Jack Straw: 'A great loss for Labour' - Lord Falconer

Jack Straw has announced he is to stand down as MP for Blackburn at the next general election.

The former Labour home and foreign secretary, who is 67, was elected in 1979 and has stood in eight general elections in the constituency.

Lord Falconer said the decision was "a great loss for Labour".
