Bag charge 'huge environmental step' - Ed Davey

The charge of 5p for single-use plastic bags from supermarkets and large stores will have a "huge environmental benefit" the energy and climate change secretary has said.

Ed Davey told BBC News that the any money raised form the tax would go to charity, and the point of the scheme was to change people's behaviour rather than raise funds for the government.
