'No objections' to M40 JD Wetherspoons pub

JD Wetherspoons is due to open its very first motorway pub, serving alcohol from 8am until 1am, just off the M40 in Beaconsfield, Buckinghamshire.
"We believe the vast majority of people will be using the pub for food or coffee," Eddie Gershon, a spokesperson for JD Wetherspoons, told BBC Radio 2's Jeremy Vine.
"There will be people who want alcohol. We will serve them, in the same way that they could get it two minutes off the motorway network in a pub."
The Jeremy Vine Show is broadcast Monday to Friday at 12:00 BST on BBC Radio 2. Or listen again via the link.
