Balls: Osborne 'would fail GCSE Economics'

The Shadow Chancellor Ed Balls says that George Osborne would fail GCSE Economics with his analysis of the economy.

His comments come ahead of Wednesday's Budget, amid fears the UK could enter a "triple-dip" recession.

Mr Osborne has promised to "help people who are young and people who are old".

However, speaking to Jeremy Vine on The Andrew Marr Show, Ed Balls said that the government were only sticking to their economic plan to avoid "political humiliation".
