Foreign Secretary William Hague has named the British construction worker believed to have been killed, along with six other hostages, by a Nigerian terrorist group.

Mr Hague said the death of Brendan Vaughan, who was taken hostage on 16 February, was "an unforgivable act of pure cold blooded murder, for which there can be excuse or justification."
