Same-sex marriage 'changes attitudes'
MPs have approved same-sex marriage in England and Wales in a key Commons vote, despite the opposition of almost half the Conservative MPs.
Same-sex weddings already take place in several other countries including the Netherlands, Canada and South Africa.
BBC Newsnight spoke to Anne-Marie Thus from Maastricht, who got married in the world's first same-sex ceremony in 2001, about why she believes so strongly in marriage for all.
