Borgen actor Sidse Babett Knudsen on Scandinavian drama
TV's Danish prime minister, actor Sidse Babett Knudsen, said Borgen had been a "dark horse" success after another Scandinavian drama The Killing "paved the way for us."
She said "nobody thought it would travel" as it was about politics, and she was surprised by its international success.
The actor, who plays PM Birgitte Nyborg in the Danish political drama, was in Edinburgh over the weekend and spoke to the Sunday Politics' Andrew Kerr, as the final two parts of the second series were aired on BBC4.
Ms Knudsen could say little about the third and final series, being transmitted in Denmark, other than to confirm a British actor was joining the cast.
