Ian Hislop: 'I blame the media for snowmageddon'
Broadcaster and editor of Private Eye Ian Hislop has blamed the media for creating panic among the British public about the recent heavy snowfall.
Speaking on BBC Question Time, he said that media reports warn people to remain indoors when it snows, and yet when they venture out they find their journey is not as difficult as expected.
Heavy snow has affected many parts of the UK causing widespread disruption, travel chaos and school closures.
Question Time is broadcast on Thursdays at 22:35 GMT on BBC One. Or catch up on BBC iPlayer (UK only)
