Flooding risk: no snowman help says Environment Agency


Building snowmen help may a little, but was no real answer to stop the flooding expected over the weekend and next week, Environment Agency Flood Risk Manager Phil Rothwell said.

He was responding to newspaper reports of an offbeat way to slow down the thawing of snow. There is a risk of flooding and higher river levels with thawing snow and more rain due in the coming days.
