Frosty European reception for UK PM's EU vision

The British prime minster's promise of a referendum on EU membership, should his Conservative party win the next general election, has been criticised by senior European figures.

Germany's foreign minister said "cherry-picking" should not be an option for Britain, with the French reaction along similar lines.
