Douglas Alexander on the UK in Europe and EU referendum
David Cameron "risks being trapped by his own rhetoric" over repatriating EU powers to Westminster, the shadow foreign secretary has said.
Douglas Alexander said the talk of a referendum in Britain had "more to do with politics of Conservative policy... than the national interest."
He said Britain should remain in the UK, as he spoke to Andrew Neil about past and current EU policy. They also discussed the the hostage situation in Algeria and tensions in Mali.
