Ann Clwyd MP: A plea for compassion in nursing
Ann Clwyd MP has said that she will begin a campaign for greater compassion and care in nursing, after standing up in parliament to voice her concerns.
Speaking to the BBC's Andrew Marr, Mrs Clwyd said she had received hundreds of emails of support from members of the public.
Earlier in the week she raised the issue of nursing standards before fellow MPs, breaking down when she asked the prime minister what he would do about the situation.
Mr Clwyd, Labour MP for Cynon Valley, believes her husband Owen Roberts died "like a battery hen" at the University Hospital of Wales in Cardiff last October.
