Cameron: 'Why I back church gay marriages'
Legislation to allow marriage for same-sex couples will also allow churches in England and Wales to conduct ceremonies, Prime Minister David Cameron has said.
He said he did not want gay people to be "excluded from a great institution", but he would not force religious groups to carry out the ceremonies.
Ministers will reveal their response to a consultation next week.
