Ann Clwyd on husband Owen Roberts' care in NHS hospital
An MP who addressed the prime minister over the hospital treatment her husband received - who later died - has spoken of his final days.
Ann Clwyd told Andrew Neil of a "lack of compassion, a lack of care" in Owen Roberts' final days - and claimed both he and she were "ignored" - at the University Hospital of Wales in Cardiff.
She debated NHS care with Janet Davies, director of nursing at the Royal College of Nursing, who said it was a "terrible story and very upsetting".
She claimed some nurses were tired and overworked, and they needed the "support, culture and resources to do their job properly".
