Autumn Statement: Public reaction to austerity measures

There has been a mixed reaction to the chancellor's announcement that at least six more years of austerity measures lie ahead for those in the UK.

In his annual Autumn Statement, George Osborne unveiled a raft of measures which included the cancellation of a planned fuel duty rise and a reduction in the lifetime pension relief allowance.

Reeta Chakrabarti spoke to drivers, families and businesses in Birmingham.
