What should MPs be paid?


In the aftermath of the parliamentary expenses scandal, MPs voted to create IPSA, the Independent Parliamentary Standards Authority. But not just to control MPs' expenses. Its remit also includes deciding how much MPs should be paid is also part of its remit.

The organisation is currently consulting on finding a long term solution to the problem of MPs' pay. And problem it is because polls show many voters believe MPs are paid too much rather than too little.

Mandy Baker has been talking to MPs about much they think they're worth.
