Corby by-election: Labour win seat from Conservatives

Help

Labour has overturned a significant Conservative majority in the Corby by-election, taking a seat from the Tories in a by-election for the first time in 15 years.

Ed Miliband said the win showed that middle England was turning away from the Conservatives and towards "one nation Labour", but David Cameron dismissed the defeat as a "classic mid-term result".

James Landale reports.
