Angela Merkel rejects UK-EU 'divorce' call before talks


The German Chancellor Angela Merkel has issued a warning to Britain not to deliver any ultimatums and she said British people would not be happy if they were alone in the world.

David Cameron welcomed Mrs Merkel to Downing Street on Wednesday night for talks about the future size of the EU budget - which is a big bone of contention for many of Mr Cameron's Conservative MPs.
