'No prospect' of EU budget cut, says Nick Clegg

The Deputy Prime Minister, Nick Clegg, has said there is "absolutely no prospect" of Britain securing a cut in the European Union budget.

On Wednesday, 53 Conservative backbenchers voted with Labour to defeat the government and demand a budget decrease rather than accept a freeze.
