Danny Alexander: economy, banks, austerity and recovery

The chief secretary to the Treasury admitted "growth has been much slower than we would have liked" as he spoke to Andrew Neil about the coalition's austerity programme and the UK economy.

Danny Alexander touched on the role of banking on economic recovery, and he said there must be a "more balanced" approach to help the UK recovery.

They also debated the eurozone crisis, a possible mansion tax, the Autumn Statement, tax avoidance and Scottish independence.
