John Sergeant on BBC DG Entwistle, Savile and Panorama
John Sergeant, who has worked for the BBC and ITN, said bosses really did not write his scripts or tell him what to say when he went in front of the camera.
He reckoned BBC director General George Entwistle "certainly should not resign", but mistakes were made over the Jimmy Savile revelations.
In his authored This Week film looking at Newsnight and Panorama's role in a media storm, the journalist went over the "tortuous way" the BBC worked, and looked at how its methods were based on an army model.
