Social media: Sway, Portillo and Campbell on tweeting

The rapper and grime artist Sway said social media allowed him to get "positive energy" from his fans who give him "genuine feedback" on his music.

Speaking on BBC1's This Week programme, he said checking his twitter account was the third thing he did each morning, but admitted he did not follow the prime minister and suggested how David Cameron should tweet.

The panel of Alastair Campbell and Andrew Neil debated the use of social media for politicians, and how it should be used. And ex-Defence Secretary Michael Portillo hinted that he may finally join twitter after refusing for years to tweet.
