Scottish independence: Tommy Sheridan on referendum

Help

Former MSP Tommy Sheridan - in a film for BBC1's This Week programme - said Scotland was fed up with being second best and predicted David Cameron would be the prime minister "who lost the union".

Now with the Solidarity Party he recalled not being in favour of independence - but had changed his mind.

And he reckoned the perceived "haggis-munching kilt-wearing barbarians" were set to deliver a shock in the 2014 referendum.

The full programme, including the debate that followed this film, can be seen by UK viewers on iPlayer for 12 months.
