Tory conference: Chris Grayling on tackling burglars
Householders' rights when tackling a burglar in their home "should be clear and strong", the justice secretary has said.
Ahead of his speech to the Tory conference, Chris Grayling said people should know that the law would be on their side, unless they acted in a way which was "grossly disproportionate".
He told Jo Coburn that people should be able to protect themselves in their homes and insisted the change would make a practical difference.
