David Cameron: 'Raising the bar' on burglary law

Help

David Cameron has said the government is "raising the bar pretty high" for prosecutions against people who attack burglars breaking into their homes.

Speaking to the BBC, the prime minister said: "I think this is something that bothers people and frankly it bothers me."

"There has been uncertainty if a burglar comes into your home people aren't sure about what they are and aren't allowed to do."
