Conservative Conference: Party aims in northern England


The Conservatives lost more than 100 councillors in the last set of local elections and there are 25 fewer MPs in northern England since the height of Thatcherism.

David Thompson reports from North Tyneside as the party aims to restores its fortunes in the region and looks at the challenges it faces.
