Rain: Association of British Insurers on flooding cover
Insurance is likely to become "unaffordable or unavailable" in a free market for around 200,000 homes, the Association of British Insurers has said as parts of Britain have suffered heavy downpours and flooding.
Nick Starling said no other country wrapped up house insurance and flood insurance and the government would have to help share the risk.
