Ed Davey: 'Seize green growth opportunity now'
Energy Secretary Ed Davey has urged sceptics to embrace green energy reforms, which he suggests could "unlock billions in private investment for energy produced here in the UK".
Speaking at the Lib Dem party conference in Brighton, Mr Davey said "Britain's green growth opportunity is like building 20 Olympic Stadiums every year until 2012".
The MP earlier told the Observer of his concerns that a "Tea Party tendency" among Tory MPs might deter low-carbon energy projects and undermine investor confidence.
