Andrew Mitchell should consider position, says Police Federation
Conservative Chief Whip Andrew Mitchell "should consider his position" after an outburst to police officers in Downing Street on Thursday.
Ian Edwards, chairman of West Midlands Police Federation, where Andrew Mitchell's constituency is located, told the BBC that police officers would be expected to treat Mr Mitchell "with dignity and respect, and that's how I would expect him to treat my colleagues."
