Nigel Farage on UKIP-Conservative deal over referendum

21 September 2012 Last updated at 14:36 BST

More eurosceptic Conservatives will defect to UKIP if David Cameron does not deliver an in/out referendum over Europe, Nigel Farage said.

The UKIP leader said he had not called for a deal with the Tories, but said "it would be crazy not to consider it" if an offer on independence from Europe was on offer.

He also told Jo Coburn his party also took support from "Old Labour" leaning voters in the Midlands and north of England.

He claimed UKIP could top the polls in the 2014 European elections if it could could take 27% of the vote, and recalled it has risen from third to second in last euro elections.

And the leader was asked about rumours about the party changing its logo which features a pound sign.
