Manchester police shootings: Keith Vaz bail review call

Help

A review of bail conditions is needed following the killing of two policewomen in Manchester, where the leading suspect was on bail, the Home Affairs Committee Committee chairman said.

Labour MP Keith Vaz explained his committee had previously looked into figures about crimes committed by those on bail, and that people were "right to be concerned" over the details of this killings.

He spoke against giving guns to British police officers on patrol: "I am against the idea of arming our police and I think the police service itself is against having arms on a routine basis."
