UK economy: US lessons to help British recovery?
The US economic recovery saw a 1.7% increase in the second quarter, performing better than the UK's 0.5% fall in GDP.
The US Federal Reserve has announced another injection of Quantitative Easing - or electronically printing more money - to help the recovery.
Susana Mendonca looked at whether there were lessons from across the Atlantic as she spoke to Patrick Diamond of the Policy Network, Mark Littlewood from the Institute of Economic Affairs, and Dr Ethan Ilzetzki of the LSE Centre for Economic Performance.
