Cameron: 'Police amended Hillsborough statements'
Prime Minister David Cameron has revealed details of previously unseen government files relating to the 1989 Hillsborough disaster in a statement to MPs.
He said that police officers had carried out police national computer checks to, according to the report, "impugn the reputations of the deceased".
Relatives of the Liverpool supporters who died at Hillsborough were briefed on the report on Wednesday morning.
The 96 fans died after a crush at Sheffield Wednesday's ground.
