Conference unease
The Work and Pensions Secretary is digging his heels in when it comes to welfare reform. The fairness of the reforms is something that's concerning some Liberal Democrat activists along with coalition policies on the economy and the environment . And a number of critical amendments have been submitted for debate at the forthcoming Liberal Democrat conference. Gareth Epps is on the Federal Police Committee of the party and a member of the Social Liberal Forum - he believes Nick Clegg and the Liberal democrat leadership should be concerned about the mood of activists:
