Sandra Howard explains the image of a politician's wife

The wife of former Conservative Party leader Michael Howard told 5 liveDouble Take how important she felt her role was to her husband's image.

Speaking to Anita Anand, Sandra Howard said she found the whole experience "daunting" despite being a Vogue model who once dined with John F Kennedy.

Last week, Ann Romney, wife of US presidential candidate Mitt, took to the Republican Convention in Florida to woo voters in the race for the White House.
