Lord Smith calls for Cable to replace Clegg as Lib Dem leader

Nick Clegg's leadership of the Lib Dems has come in for criticism from within his party, with some members calling for him to step down and make way for Business Secretary Vince Cable.

Lord Smith of Clifton told the BBC the party was currently being governed by "young boys in small trousers" and it had to do something to stem the "haemorrhage of our support".
