London 2012: Tory MP Aidan Burley defends 'leftie' remarks
A Conservative MP who criticised the Olympic Opening ceremony for its multicultural content has defended his remarks.
Commenting on the Twitter website, Aidan Burley described the ceremony as "leftie multi-cultural" rubbish.
Mr Burley has since said he has no problem with multi-cultural content, but he stood by his comments.
'I don't regret pointing out the fact that it (the ceremony) became politicised at the end,'' he said.
