Conservative MPs' advice to David Cameron on management
In the wake of the rebellion over House of Lords reform, Conservative MP Brian Binley has said David Cameron needs to improve his management skills.
The MP said the prime minister needed to understand when colleagues were "falling by the wayside" and be able to "put your arm around them, shed a tear of sympathy and say, how can I help?"
He also urged Mr Cameron to "widen" his frontbench team, "put the best people in the best jobs" and to ensure people "who are not quite from his background" are not excluded.
David Thompson also heard from Conservative MP Philip Davies, and Paul Goodman from the ConservativeHome website about what other changes they think Mr Cameron should make.
