Tory MP Conor Burns faces sack after House of Lords vote
A Conservative MP said he expects to lose his job as a ministerial aide after Tuesday's vote when he plans to defy the government over reforms of the House of Lords.
Conor Burns said: "It probably means I will be sacked."
Dozens of rebel Conservative MPs have signed a letter opposing House of Lords reform and calling for "full and unrestricted scrutiny" of the bill ahead of a two-day debate on the plans. Liberal Democrats are expected to vote in favour, with Labour against.
