Chancellor George Osborne scraps 3p fuel duty rise
The chancellor has announced he will not proceed with the planned 3p increase in fuel duty this August and is freezing it for the rest of the year.
George Osborne said he was "on the side of working families and businesses", and the move meant fuel would be 10p cheaper than under Labour's plans.
