Portillo: Gove 'serious candidate' as Tory leader
Michael Portillo claimed Michael Gove was a "serious candidate for the future", when asked if he had any chance of being a Conservative Party leader.
The former Tory defence secretary said of the education secretary: "He knows what he is about, he knows what he wants and these are things that people crave."
He was debating who might make it to the top of the party, with Alan Johnson and Andrew Neil.
