Was Rupert Murdoch's 'fitness' to run News Corp discussed?

Rupert Murdoch "is not a fit person to exercise the stewardship of a major international company", MPs have said.

The Culture Media and Sport select committee questioned journalists at the now-closed News of the World, as well as police and lawyers for hacking victims.

Its report concluded that Mr Murdoch exhibited "wilful blindness" to what was going on in News Corporation.

But the committee was split six to four, with Conservative members refusing to endorse the findings.

Speaking on Newsnight alongside Labour MP Jim Sheridan, Tory MP Louise Mensch said the select committee never discussed Rupert Murdoch's fitness to run News Corp.
