BBC 'has to change' party election coverage - Portillo
The BBC election coverage "has to change" says former MP Michael Portillo, who was unhappy the larger "traditional" parties were getting more coverage in the London mayoral campaign.
He said: "I am asking for the mould to be broken," echoing the campaign message of independent candidate for London mayor, Siobhan Benita.
Portillo has already said he will not be supporting Tory candidate Boris Johnson and last week backed Ms Benita policy on Heathrow Airport expansion.
