Russell Brand calls for more compassion for drug users
Comedian and actor Russell Brand has told MPs taking drugs should not be seen as a "criminal or judicial matter" but a "health issue".
Speaking at the Home Affairs Select Committee inquiry into drugs policy he said: "We need to change the laws in this country and have a more compassionate, altruistic, loving attitude to the people with the disease of addiction."
