Miliband: Party donations 'should be slashed'
Labour leader Ed Miliband has called for a £5,000 cap on donations to political parties, including those from trade unions.
It follows recent debate over party funding, sparked by allegations Conservative Party co-treasurer Peter Cruddas offered access to the prime minister for cash.
Speaking to the BBC's Andrew Marr Show, Mr Miliband said that "uncomfortable" decisions now needed to be taken.
